Indian Law: Support or Obstruction? — The Struggle of Farmers in Nashik By Arun Ramchandra Pangarkar Founder – Shramik Kranti Mission “Voice of the Poor” In today’s time, a fundamental question arises — is the law meant to serve the people, or is it being used to obstruct their rightful work? Destroying Forests to Build Private Schools, Colleges and IT Parks – Is This Real Progress?

In today’s world, the definition of development often overlooks natural resources. Forests are cut down and hills are cleared to make way for private schools, colleges, IT parks, and massive buildings. The question arises – is this truly a sign of progress?

Depletion of Natural Resources

Forests are not just a collection of trees; they are essential for maintaining the balance of water, air, and soil. When forests are destroyed, rivers begin to dry up, rainfall patterns are disturbed, and the environment becomes unbalanced.

Economic Gain vs. Social Loss

Today, many leaders and industrialists purchase land in forest and hilly areas at cheap prices and establish private institutions there. While they gain financially, society and future generations suffer irreparable damage.

What is True Progress?

The real meaning of progress is maintaining a balance between development and the environment. Education and employment are necessary, but destroying forests and natural resources for them is not justifiable. True progress is that which safeguards both nature and humanity.
