Corrupt Democracy, Degraded Public

Blaming political leaders alone for the failure of democracy is an act of self-deception. Criminal, corrupt, and morally degraded leaders do not descend from the sky — they are produced through the ballot box.

When people knowingly vote for individuals with criminal backgrounds, those who are imprisoned, or those accused of serious crimes such as murder, it is no longer a mere political choice — it becomes a public declaration of moral failure.

Moral degradation is not the monopoly of political leaders alone. A public that votes for selfish interests, money, or criminal power corrupts democracy itself.

Voting is not merely a right; it is a moral responsibility. When this sense of responsibility collapses, democracy is reduced to a game of numbers. Votes cast in exchange for money, liquor, caste considerations, or fear are nothing less than the abduction of democracy.

In such circumstances, claiming that “the people are innocent” or “the people were misled” only conceals reality. This is not ignorance — it is a conscious acceptance of moral degradation.

A society that places criminals in positions of power loses the moral authority to speak of nation, values, ethics, or social responsibility.

A public that votes for criminals
and corrupt leaders —
are not two sides of democracy,
but the same outcome of a single moral collapse.

Shramik Kranti – Garibon Ka Aawaz clearly states: If democracy is to survive, the moral awakening of voters must come first.

Moreover, merely changing leaders or governments is meaningless. The system itself must change. Power may belong to anyone — it should not matter — the system must be so strong, capable, and ethically sound that even deliberate attempts at corruption become impossible.

Only such a system can truly eradicate poverty. Only such a system can ensure that every citizen lives with dignity, security, and prosperity. Only then does development move beyond statistics and enter the real lives of the people.

For such a system, politics alone is insufficient. What is needed is a political revolution.

This revolution cannot be delivered by any leader, any political party, or any ruling elite. It must be brought about by the poor, the working class, and the laboring masses upon whose sweat and toil this nation truly stands.

Those who are wealthy and close to power have little concern for the suffering of the poor. They are secure. They are comfortable. That is precisely why they feel no urgency to change the system.

Therefore, the struggle to transform the system is the responsibility of the working class — and that alone is the true path of patriotism.
