Indian Law: Support or Obstruction? — The Struggle of Farmers in Nashik By Arun Ramchandra Pangarkar Founder – Shramik Kranti Mission “Voice of the Poor” In today’s time, a fundamental question arises — is the law meant to serve the people, or is it being used to obstruct their rightful work? The ongoing struggle of farmers in Pangri Budruk (Taluka Sinnar, District Nashik) has brought this issue into sharp focus. Due to the blockage of the access (wahiwat) road affecting agricultural lands (Gut No. 158, 159, 160), farmers are unable to harvest wheat and transport sugarcane. In the backdrop of unseasonal rains, this has created a serious risk of financial loss. ⚠️ Critical Situation: Two farmers have been hospitalized during the hunger strike due to deteriorating health. Part 1 : The Real Causes of Poverty

Part 1 : The Real Causes of Poverty

Dear fellow citizens,

Let us turn to the most important question – Why is there poverty in our country?

  • People are lazy,
  • They are unemployed,
  • They have not completed formal education,

These are the reasons often repeated. But they are only superficial; the real cause lies deeper.

💡 The Real Cause of Poverty

The root cause of poverty is a flawed system of economic distribution. This system exploits the hardworking masses and nourishes corruption.

⚖️ Some Striking Examples

  • Corrupt representatives and officials: Insult honest citizens through bribery.
  • Middlemen who deny farmers fair prices: Buy produce worth lakhs at throwaway rates.
  • Contractors exploiting workers: Long hours of labor for meager wages.
  • Adulterators: Mix harmful chemicals in food, endangering public health.

🚫 The False Argument – “Free ration makes people lazy”

Whenever the government provides ration, some argue – “This will make people lazy and freeloaders.” But the real questions are:

  • How many genuinely poor people actually receive this benefit?
  • Do we not see wealthy people arriving in cars to collect ration?
  • Why is the large-scale freeloading and looting by the privileged not questioned?
Conclusion: Lack of education or laziness is not the real cause of poverty.
The real cause is the flawed system of economic distribution that fuels corruption.

Understanding these causes is the first step in the “Eradicate Poverty” movement.
