Shramik Kranti – Garibon Ka Aawaz Debates Over the Poor Man’s Plate

Debates Over the Poor Man’s Plate,
Silence Over the Corrupt Man’s Treasury

A thought-provoking article on corruption, social hypocrisy, and the struggle of the poor.

Today’s society presents a strange and painful picture. Whenever a poor person receives free grain, scholarships, or government assistance, some people quickly label them as “freeloaders.”

But those who loot public money, take bribes despite huge salaries, and swallow commissions worth crores in the name of development rarely face the same criticism.

Society debates over the poor man’s plate, but remains silent over the corrupt man’s treasury.

This is the greatest tragedy of our system and social mentality.

The Poor Accept Help Because Circumstances Force Them

A farmer is devastated by drought. A laborer sleeps hungry due to lack of work. A widow, an elderly person, or an unemployed youth depends on government schemes for survival.

These people seek help because they have no other option. Free grain, scholarships, or subsidies are not luxuries for them; they are necessities.

Hunger and concern for their children’s future force people to accept help.

Calling the poor “freeloaders” insults their struggles and circumstances.

Who Are the Real Freeloaders?

The real freeloaders are not those seeking help for survival.

  • Those who enjoy luxury using taxpayers’ money,
  • Those who demand bribes in government offices,
  • Those who earn commissions through poor-quality development work,
  • Those who exploit farmers, workers, and the poor for politics,
  • And those who use power for personal wealth instead of public service.

Even after receiving huge salaries, government facilities, bungalows, and security, they still want more money by any means.

The Poor Are Not a Burden; Corruption Is

A few kilograms of grain given to a poor family can never destroy a country. But one corrupt deal can waste crores of public money.

  • Roads are built poorly,
  • Farmers’ schemes remain incomplete,
  • Unemployed youth lose opportunities,
  • Healthcare and education systems weaken,
  • And ordinary people struggle endlessly for justice.
Poverty is not the fault of an individual; corruption is a deadly disease of society and governance.

Society’s Double Standards

Targeting the poor has become easy because poor people often cannot fight back.

But speaking against corrupt people in power requires courage. Therefore, many criticize the poor while remaining silent about corruption.

This mentality must change. Society should question corrupt treasuries instead of poor people’s plates.

The Real Need Is Justice

No poor person wishes to survive forever on free assistance. Everyone wants to live with dignity.

  • Employment,
  • Proper education,
  • Fair wages for hard work,
  • And a corruption-free system.

The nation does not need to insult the poor; it needs a strong fight against corruption.

Conclusion

In a society where debates revolve around the poor man’s plate while silence protects corrupt treasuries, justice cannot survive.

The poor survive by accepting help, but corruption slowly destroys the entire nation from within.
The time has come — not to blame the poor, but to question the corrupt system.
