Indian Law: Support or Obstruction? — The Struggle of Farmers in Nashik By Arun Ramchandra Pangarkar Founder – Shramik Kranti Mission “Voice of the Poor” In today’s time, a fundamental question arises — is the law meant to serve the people, or is it being used to obstruct their rightful work? The ongoing struggle of farmers in Pangri Budruk (Taluka Sinnar, District Nashik) has brought this issue into sharp focus. Due to the blockage of the access (wahiwat) road affecting agricultural lands (Gut No. 158, 159, 160), farmers are unable to harvest wheat and transport sugarcane. “Every Rural Hospital Must Have a Permanent Stock of Anti-Snake Venom Serum!”

Nashik, 7 October 2025

Shramik Kranti Mission – “Garibon Ka Aawaz” has appealed to the Government of Maharashtra and the Union Government to ensure that every rural hospital maintains a permanent stock of Anti-Snake Venom Serum (ASVS).

Every year, hundreds of farmers, laborers, and poor citizens lose their lives to snakebites in rural India. The risk is many times higher during the monsoon and agricultural seasons. Unfortunately, due to the unavailability of this life-saving serum in rural hospitals, patients are forced to travel to distant city hospitals, losing precious time — often resulting in death.

The mission’s representative, Mr. Arun Ramchandra Pangarkar, has submitted a memorandum urging the Health Department to take immediate action:

“Every Rural Hospital in Maharashtra and also in the whole country must be mandated to maintain a permanent stock of Anti-Snake Venom Serum, with regular inspection and transparent reporting of availability.”

This campaign is not just about medicine — it’s about saving lives and strengthening rural healthcare.

Let’s unite to ensure life-saving medicines reach every corner of rural India.
